I went on the discovery plus help page and went for the phone call option to actually speak to a real human.
They have escalated the issue with their internal support team as I pointed out that on their packages you need the standard package to access any sport not just the Olympics and although their system says I am on a Basic plan I was able while on the phone to them to watch Motorcross and Snooker live on the Discovery Plus app but not access the Olympics.
obviously if I was really on the basic package I would not be able to watch those other sports.

Thanks adam, yeah i may only be on the basic package, i cant find out yet because it wont send me an email to reset my password !! i phoned for help first and although the Sky agent was very kind, she couldnt help me because the people she wanted to put me through to had gone home for the day - not very satisfying !! i wil be on the phone tomorrow morning... very poor service from Sky .

There are Sky Community Managers: they mostly act as moderators.
Sometimes they confirm issues or ask for additional information.

Hi,
I am suffering from the same issue as mentioned by others. My discoveryplus account says I am on the Standard plan, but when I try to watch anything on Olympics I get an error about getting the correct pass and contact Sky.

I have the exact same issue as well, gone through the same process to see Sky say that I do have the standard package whilst Discovery say I don't.

I have the same problem I have been through all of the posts without any success. How is it possible to make what should be a simple process to implement so complicated and unfunctional. I give up!

Try signing out and back in again but use the onscreen login option not the via PC or mobile...not able to watch evans v tsitsipas before (outwith subscription etc) but can now..

@gucci2911 thanks for that. I'll give it a go. My friend has just managed to login and can get all the olympic feeds. 🤞 They've fixed it.

Hi, I dont have the onscreen login option. Only the activate code from signing into discovery on another device.

We've got ours sorted now we had to sign out of everything and turns out as I have had two log ins previously it was an old email address which was causing the issue.
reset everything per the above and now all working!

I went through the chat link and ultimately sky confirmed they were aware of the issue and it had been escalated. Likely to be a software update coming soon - but couldn't provide an ETA, nor will they let us know when it's been done, so effectively just have to keep trying....frustrating as only want this for the early stages of the Olympics!
I did try logging out & in again as per someone else's suggestion - but still not working for me. If anyone with the same issue gets this resolved please let me know!
