Re: 2026 Sky F1 catch up - the problem continues

If they want everyone on stream eventually they really do need a better box solution than what is currently available. People will not be happy otherwise.

Re: 2026 Sky F1 catch up - the problem continues

The sport playlists in general have taken a big step back recently. F1 was all where it should be this time except Ted's notebooks are all very random on where they are and how numbered.

Live football playlists are a joke. You have to search further **bleep** k to get the latest games. The Scottish game yesterday only playlisted the first half so had used the wrong channel.

This product has been around for some time now and they are still struggling with the basics.

Whilst I'm sure Sky would like not to have these issues (  particularly as bizarrely they rarely seem to affect all customers and only seem to be a subset). That won't stop the migration to Glass/Stream, which is essentially being forced by the satellite service UK/ROI going end of life at the end of the decade.

Re: 2026 Sky F1 catch up - the problem continues

I'd like to tag onto these further, continuing issues with watching Sky F1.

I was in the middle of watching practice 1 from the main F1 channel playlist and it was fine for about 5 minutes then cut out saying "there is a technical fault. Please try again later."

This was an issue with last season too.

It's completely unacceptable that this is still an ongoing issue.

I've tried all the trouble shooting fixes.

Just tried it again and the ads played, then it cut off showing the technical fault message again.

Re: 2026 Sky F1 catch up - the problem continues

Also this mornings qualifying ruined by me switching the channel as per the EPG at 0830, Crofty was still showing and before I could switch off he announced the pole sitter.....this is getting beyond a joke now. I mean how hard is it to schedule stuff correctly - get a grip Sky or its getting binned.....not happy, every week has been tge same story!!!

Can't watch Formula 1, again!

Omg Sky! Trying to watch F1 practice from the main channel playlist. It was fine for about 5 minutes, then it cut off saying "there is a technical fault. Please try again later."

I thought maybe it was an issue with practice one only, but no, its all of them.

This happened last year too. Not just with the playlist, but with live watching too.

I see there are Sky customers complaining already, as they seem to have the same, if not more issues.

Please find a more permanent fix to whatever you've been doing these last seasons as it clearly isn't working.

Yes, I've tried watching it from other channels, turned it off and on again, switched it off at the main, etc. All the troubleshooting fixes Sky have offered every time this issue has come up.

I've been ill all week and today feel slightly better enough to want to enjoy my hobby and again, Sky have let me down.

If i remember correctly, a few times last season, this error message prevented me from watching a few race weekends.

The only reason i have Sky is for F1 and when i am better, am really going to consider cancelling.

To clarify:

Can't watch any programmes (1, 2 and 3 practice, qualifying) on the Sky F1 live channel playlist due to error message "there is a technical fault. Please try again later"

Skysports F1 Japanese gp qualifying not on catch-up

I've tried to watch the Japanese F1 GP qualifying from this morning but it's not available all free practice sessions are but qualifying is missing this is not the first time in paying for a service that I can't access.

Meant to post this as a discussion thread, not a reply. Sorry!

There isn't a delete option?

@KC30  As your post is linked to the F1 Catch up/Platylist issues your post doesn't need a seperate thread, so the other one you created has been removed.

Can you delete this one? I can't for some reason. I meant to create a new thread. Thanks

There is already a thread discussing the same issues, a new thread isn't required or helpful.

Re: Skysports F1 Japanese gp qualifying not on catch-up

Qualifying won't show up in your playlist until the live broadcast has finished, looking at the time you posted it was still on and hadn't finished. It's a complete pain in the backside as I had the same and the only way to start to watch from the beginning is to go on the live F1 channel then click play from start, luckily for me it was on an advert break so no spoilers.

Re: Skysports F1 Japanese gp qualifying not on catch-up

Oh I know qualifying doesn't show up until after it's shown live.

I meant, this was an issue last season. Not being able to watch qualifying through playlist, due to this error message

I find pressing "home" refreshes this issue?
