2026 Sky F1 catch up - the problem continues

Yep Sky stream whether through Sky or Now is soooo disappointing 

right now I'm looking for  Canadian sprint quali. Nowhere to be found. Might show up middle of next week but what is the point in that. 

this only encourages illegal streaming when it surely would be an easy fix for the production team to be on top of their game and provide the service we pay for.

To be pedantic, the illegal streaming would be live only, and your live Sky Internet Stream of the "Sky Sport F1 UHD" satellite broadcast channel (which I recorded from on SkyQ) would still have worked fine if you were pinned into watching live and normally does; these are big and ongoing problems with providing reliable, timely, and complete non-live streams of these broadcasts later, is that right?

So with the illegal stream you'd be in the exact same situation if you didn't watch live?

NB I would be equally dismayed as you are - as a SkyQ user I can't always watch live; last night I was watching some of it slightly behind live, say 10-15 minutes, other parts live, and then after sprint quali I went back to watch the earlier parts of the build-up. It worked but of course on SkyQ - being at the mercy of EPG changes aside - I am in full control of my local recordings.

@Disappointedf1 Luckily my hubby watched it live then. F1 is getting worse and worse.

What a mess Sky Stream is! Just sat down to watch the Indy 500 that I added to my play list from the planner on the Sky Sports Mix channel seeing that the whole race was being covered there and not just the bit the F1 channel was. 

Went to the play list showing the Sky Mix recording, pressed watch from start... low and behold it started playing back the coverage from the F1 channel! The race was about to start only for it to cut to the F1 Academy race... not interested in that!

Called Sky up to ask them how to watch the 500 from the start and was given zero options, only they're aware of a problem. 

I told them they're happy to sell the service but not provide the service while locking me into a 2 year contract!

Don't see this being fixed anytime soon... might see if I can go back to VM.

So this weekend thanks to the mess that Sky Stream is I've missed the team principals press conference,  the Sprint Race notebook and the Indy 500... didn't dare trust it to "record" the F1GP so watched that live and missed the end of the 500!

Minor but irritating programme guide with Ted's Notebook for Canada main race - it is conveniently listed in 'On this week' but if you select it here you can only schedule it for its later rerun (listed as on Sky One in my case, I don't have UHD). You have to find it by scrolling way to the right in the 'Series 1' listings, because for some reason it's called S1:E274, with Abu Dhabi taking top spot on S1:E302.

Make no sense!
