Why are the vip films old ones

Just gone on to redeem my "free vip film" I thought we could get a Premier film or use the 13.99 towards it instead we get a selection of films that are Free on sky movies and other film apps so really is the "free film" a waste of time? wanted to watch a newer film but I refuse to pay silly money when I pay enough for my services anyway so why bother offering the film at all.  Not a reward is it?

I guess that depends what your taste of films is as there are a few here that I could quite easily pick up:

The £15.99 premier films are unlikely to be included in this promotion as that price is set by the studios which is why it is the same price at other suppliers to watch these new films.
