The redeem code itself can only be used via your online account here:
And so any purchase you can make must be online only. Buy and Keep films can then be sent to your Sky Q box but rented films can not.

Do follow the advice from the others for your refund request.
For future though - you don't redeem your code at the point of payment- when you login to Skystore online - at the bottom left of the menu you will see an option saying "Redeem Voucher"
Thats what you select before you do your purchase.

Here's an update from my initial query and upon receiving the helpful advice from the community:
I did go onto the live chat however as it's answered by autobots I was directed to contact the helpline and speak to an agent. I'm pleased to say that although I was not able to be refunded the whole amount, SKY kindly refunded a partial amount and I am still able to claim the gift voucher till 1/7/23. So it's a win win for me. Thank you SKY and its community. Much appreciated.
