since itv 1 changed frequency cannot store manually tuned regional option
Ok guys sky q box since first available years ago and never had this problem until itv1 apparently changed frequencies a few weeks ago.
I like to watch the regional news from itv1 HD anglia east as its more relevant than my default 103 which is for London.
So I have always had it tuned in under the manual tuning section of the menu.
After the recent switchover I noticed the screen was blank so I have obtained the new anglia east parameters and added them again and all is good I get the channel however....
Even though I have saved the settings and the confirmation tick appears the next time I want to watch it's gone again.
It appears to me that the sky q is no longer storing the manual tuning channels even though the saved tick appears.
I have been through to sky by telephone and to be quite honest just to get the agent to understand the issue was difficult however she kept putting me on hold then coming back after allegedly speaking to a backroom department that she would not put me through to.
Eventually she was told by this "backroom" dept that it's not skys problem and expects me to call itv myself as sky are saying this is not their problem!
Bearing in mind I'm allegedly a "vip customer" of long standing firstly the lack of understanding of the problem and then the total lack of assistance to even offer a resolution is disgusting.
Hopefully someone on here will be more helpful.

Re: since itv 1 changed frequency cannot store manually tuned regional option
Are you removing the existing version of Anglia East before adding the new one? This is required on Sky Q otherwise the box thinks the channel is already stored and hides it from the list.
Also make sure after ticking the channel you scroll down to Save Channels and press select.

Hi @GF55A
Once you have added the channel manually are you aware that you cannot access it from the TV guide?
You need to go back into manual tuning to select it.

hi @GF55A
Did you delete (remove) the old entry first - I think sometimes it can get confused if there is one saved with the old settings
After you press 'Save Channels' does it appear in the list at this point rather than just when you return ?

Not sure then, lots of us here have retuned manually added ITV regions recently and the Add Channels feature has been working as normal.

Yes mate it all shows in the list when I return to manual tuning from the menu but when I select it to watch the screen is blank everytime. If I delete it and key the parameters again the channel appears save again get the tick but next day it's rinse and repeat.

So it appears to be being saved but perhaps not for the right channel
Please can you confirm the full list of parameters you are using and which of the 'ITV1' channels you selected with first second or third ?

Re: since itv 1 changed frequency cannot store manually tuned regional option
hi @GF55A
Puzzling - all regions from that work OK for me (BTW I haven't had time to double check which region you get on each setting but I think Anglia East will the 2nd ITV1 listed)
Can you try adding UTV from the same transponder and see if you get the same problem, ?
Can you also try addding a region from 11386 H 27500 2/3 DVB-S2 8PSK

Re: since itv 1 changed frequency cannot store manually tuned regional option
I have also added those without issue the only difference I can see is the horizontal polarity on the settings I can only determine which channels they are when the regional news comes on later today will get back to you 👍

Sorry I am not 100% sure if UTV did work OK ?
If you wish to know which regions are on the Horizontal frequency I suggestd see here:
https://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E-2F-2G.html
I was just wondering if there was a specific issue with that specific transponder or maybe polarity
If UTV didn't work may I suggest you try another V transponder to narrow it down (say 11426 - S4C)

Re: since itv 1 changed frequency cannot store manually tuned regional option
Utv like all the vertical channels work but do not store even after the tick says they are stored as the next time I go in the list is there but when any of them are selected it's a blank screen
I will try later when the regional news is on to see if the horizontal channels are still there and working I suspect that may be the solution

Have you also tried abother Vertical transponder (like the other I suggested) to see if it all Vertical transponders or just the one that carries ITV Anglia East
