Wi-Fi keeps dropping since I changed provider
I have been with Sky for 12 years and with broadband through sky or NowTV never had any issues with Internet connection on the TV. Since I've changed provider it keep dropping 5-8 times A DAY!! Its so frustrating.

Try powerline adapters
some say turning off band steering on the router can help.

Which router is it? They don't all allow that level of control.

Which provider did you change to? What kind of router did they provide you with?

Re: Wi-Fi keeps dropping since I changed provider
Ok, it's taken me a while but I have fixed this problem.
Sky Q only uses the 2.4 ghz band on your router.
Now.if you have the same SSID for both the 2.4 and 5 ghz channels the sky box gets confused (ie the Q box is a piece of **bleep**).
The fix that I found
On your router open up a guest 2.4 wifi, I called mine sky_box , create a connection password.
Connect to this wifi on your sky box and once connected just hide the SSID on the router.
So far i have no drops, previously I had 4 to 6 a day.
Cheers
Campo

Re: Wi-Fi keeps dropping since I changed provider
I should say this was because I switched from SKY Broadband to EE
I am also using a TPLink router as EE's was very poor ( max 16ft coverage)

Yeah EE's router probably wouldn't have allowed that level of customisation either

Re: Wi-Fi keeps dropping since I changed provider
EE's router was a nightmare, I bought a TPlink extender to create a mesh as the router was so poor, turns out that the EE router purposely blocked the Tplink channels, fortunately I still had a wifi 6 Tplink router to hand, I can now get wifi 80ft down my garden.
