You have to get in touch with them on their help desk . It's a long process .

Could I have some help on this also please.

I've been on to Sky, Discovery plus and still cant get it sorted.

 

Ive been through loads of different troubleshooting optikns and get the following responsea: my Account hasn't been upgraded yet., unable to do this, try again later. Activate but then it doesn't activate

In the end I got a vip pass . The

problem is ongoing and to be honest it will never get sorted so I have to ask for a few months pass everytime it runs out , it's pathetic .

2 months of waiting, 7 emails back and forth with Discovery+ support only for them to blame Sky, endless waiting in line with Skys customer support and finally @LLon stepped in with a simple solution that solved the issue in 2mins.

Woops sorry I thought I replied to the original post, see post 77 in this thread. 

Essentially: If you're in Ireland, you need to VPN to the UK to do the activation step.

So if you're anywhere but UK, try the VPN. If you're in the UK I can't help you 😅😅

I'd say it is very frustrating alright, I posted the VPN solution for Irish customers. It is difficult to know without seeeing it but if it is a similar issue, what I saw was it is picking up the location automatically from the web browser/device. My best guess and this is definitely a guess is it could be influenced by access to location services, maybe it fails if it can't get the location. So it could be worth checking location settings on the device (phone, laptop, tablet) that you are using. Make sure the browser has access to the location. It could explain the intermittent nature of the issue, where it works for some and not others, worth trying if you haven't tried that already.

No couldn't care less.

 

at one point they told me it's free so it doesn't matter if they give it to you or not.

 

just raised another complaint. I think after the 8 week waiting period I am going to escalate to OFGEM.

Yeh when I threatened to leave they said well your not paying for it anyway !!! But the reason I rejoined sky was due to the fact they said discovery was included but that went over their heads .
