Hi everyone
I'm trying to sign up for my included Discovery Plus subscription for the first time and cannot activate it
I've opened the app on the Sky Q box and followed the process to start my Discovery Plus subscription.
I then received an email from Sky confirming my Sky Marketplace subscription.
I then scanned the QR code on the TV, which leads to https://sky.com/discoveryplus-activate.
At this stage I'm asked to log into my Sky account on my browser (whether or not I'm already logged in on another tab).
I get as far as putting in my password and clicking 'Sign In' before I'm met with the spinning wheel of doom and eventually the connection times out.
My account on My Sky shows Discovery Plus as awaiting activation, but I can't get any further than that. I've tried several browsers on Android and PC, cleared cache and browser data all ending in the same result.
What am I doing wrong?

same issue here also !
have tried on a laptop, using edge+chrome and tried by scanning the qr code on a samsung s25
all 3 do the same as u ie nothing

Same for me, have tried three different browsers and tried to resolve with Discovery assistant but nothing works

This morning's update, two days after signing up on the Sky Q box. I received the following text message:
"Activate discovery+ to start watching. If your subscription isn't activated, it may be cancelled. Just go to https://www.sky.com/discoveryplus-activate"
Still can't access the website and still no access to Discovery Plus. I wonder how long before they cancel my subscription?

I have been having the same problem for 2 days now , received a text today asking me to activate the account but after following the text directions and link (same log in page on discovery plus as previously used) .unfortunately no nearer.

Im having very similar problem. Finall spoke to someone but after a couple of hours going round in circles he gave up and escalated the problem to someone else. He did say there were no known issues or other people with this problem; clearly he was wrong. Hopefully it will get sorted.

I've spoken too them too, about 30mins before this was posted and was told exactly the same thing!!

Can this thread be pinned to the top of a discussion group so that everyone knows where to look for ongoing updates about this matter. Although information / updates may be added to this particular thread there are numerous threads about the same problem and it will be a bit of pot luck having to find this one again to get an update if it isn't pinned.

Try to activate my discovery plus but link isn’t working
I've been trying to activate my discovery plus account on my sky glass and the link or web address doesn't work and send to me to a page that says safari couldn't open the page because the server isn't responding. Has anyone else had the issue ?
I've tried going through sky go app on my phone and iPad tried through a different browser and still nothing !

Which link? There are two parts the first where you add the free subscription and the 2nd where you create a Discovery+ account and link it to sky.
Can you provide the URL you are having issues with?
