Split second sound drop out

Pretty much everything on 401 does it currently.......fairly regular 1-2 second drops. I've tried switching off Atmos but it still does it on non-Atmos Dolby Digital. No such issues on TNT or Sky Sports 402 etc. The fact that it seems to be more than just be would suggest something with the transmission/transponder perhaps? Will be interesting if Sky actually look into this as they only seem bothered with the Stream customers now rather than their loyal Q ones, and I have no intention of switching to Sky Stream until I can get FTTP.

I've just done the reset as suggested above and I'll see if anything happens.

I've got the same problem too.  I want a solution ASAP.  This plus the fact Netflix is still not doing the preview play now.  

After being a Sky customer for 19 years I'm seriously thinking of sacking it off for some of the much cheaper alternatives others are offering.

Currently watching the Arsenal game in UHD. The sound dropout is there..  but if I pause it breifly and then play it dissapears.  Not ideal but fixes it for now.

Glad it's not just me then! It's doing my head in. Live football just isn't enjoyable anymore with this issue. Only UHD everything else is fine. Will try reset as suggested.

Same watching the aresnal game, sky sports main event uhd, sound keeps dropping. Both Dolby digital and dd plus. Was happening last week as well

The sound is dropping alot. 2tb Sky Q box here. Again only on UHD. Also watching the West Ham vs Arsenal game and the micro sound drop outs is getting beyond annoying.

Clearly something is broken SKY...

I've tried the reset but it seems to be the same for me after. Let's hope it gets sorted. Were paying a premium for the uhd channel so it should be sorted sooner rather than later

Workaround if you're watching Premier League......switch to Ch 402 and press select to get UHD etc. Doesn't seem to do it there. Sky clearly have an issue with the Ch 401 transponder.

I think the reset has cured mine? 🤞🏻 Had to reactivate UHD too, maybe that done it? Who knows.

Hi,

For the last few days whenever I watch anything on the above channel - eg currently the West Ham v arsenal game, the sound keeps dropping out, as if I am momentarily muting it for a couple of seconds and then re enabling it.  I have rebooted the sky q box but the problem persists.  If I watch it in HD on channel 402 it's fine.  Nothing in my setup has changed, same equipment, cables etc, if I watch say Netflix in UHD it's fine.  Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this?

 It's only recently started happening.
