Sky tv not working

My sky q box won't let me watch netflix, live TV, recorded stuff or YouTube. It just comes up with a black screen and no sound, there are no messages on screen and it says everything is connected and working fine in the settings menu? Can anyone help

Hi @Daniel+tom 

First make sure that the TV is switched on and is switched to the HDMI input to which the Q box is connected.
Then with the Q box switched on with green led illuminated
Press
Home 1 0 8 0 Home
on the Q box remote control.

This will change the Q box to standard resolution which will work for all TV’s.

Hi @Daniel+tom

Yvonne not working. Black screen. Bug volume's ok. No lights on a box

Your TV or your Sky Q box? In what way isn't the Sky box working? Unless you've told Sky there's a problem with the Sky Q box they won't be able to help you.

Not a lot to go on there but if a message is displaying ”No signal” it tends to be from your TV (in which case check the HDMI cable between the Sky Q box and your TV).

Any “no satellite signal” message relates to your Sky box.

Whenever a “no satellite signal” message is displayed firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check out the troubleshooting on this link

It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish.

It’s not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels. If you’re on a communal dish you may initially need to liaise with your landlord or building management company.

The box is always  stuck  on red
