SKY Q IN AN ANNEX? WHAT IS THE MAX DISTANCE FOR WIFI AND FROM MAIN HUB?

Hello I live in the country and have Sky Q with main box plus 2 mini's already installed in house, which work great but I want to move my mum into a seperate annex on my property which is about 30m away.  What are my best options to a) boost wifi to her annex and can I just add another mini box so she can continue to watch sky in her annex and what are the charges please.  Currently the Wifi in house, does not extend into most of my garden and definitely does not reach her annex.  I know that I cannot have a seperate account or new subscription for her at the same address, so looking for best possible solution without a hefty cost, please! On another note, perhaps not relavant but we are on the fastest internet speed available according to SKY and no possiblity to upgrade that at this stage.  However an alternative company has said that I can get Ultrafast Fibre, is it worth looking at that - we are not gamers, but do enjoy to watch sport and TV shows on different TV's.  Any guidance appreciated!

Hi @AngieR

Your best bet would be an Ethernet cable to the mini.

If you are on 3rd party (non Sky) broadband then you would need to connect the Ethernet between main Q box and mini.   If on Sky Broadband you could use the main box or the Sky router to connect the Ethernet.

However bear in mind

You can have up to four minis installed on loan each subject to a one off upfront charge and all under by one single Q monthly Multiscreen subscription
However only two minis can be used simultaneously on all 2 TB boxes and the 1 TB UHD Main boxes to watch Sky Q content.
The original 1 TB non UHD box (32Cxxx) only permits the use of one mini at a time.
If Sky Apps are already being used on some of the minis these will not normally be counted as in Q use and therefore can be used in addition to the above limits.
See the following link for the Versions of main Q box referred to above.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-software-updates.
Subject to the above limits Sky Q minis can be used completely independently of the main Q box and the same or different program or recording can be viewed on each Q box. Even if viewing the same content it is completely independent and can be viewed at the same or different point.
Minis can do all the features same as the main Q box and can set or delete recordings on the main Q box hard drive. There is one single storage area on the main Q box with no profiles and no indication of which Q box has set a recording. (Unlike Sky+HD Multiroom which has independent storage and planners).
It should also be remembered that minis cannot view UHD recordings or content.
