My sky q box was turning off 5 times in an hour. Now it won't turn on al all. It's not overheating

Sky box and sky q

Can someone help with the outage. It's a long wait time to speak to an adviser.  
both our main sky box and sky q are affected and still down.  I can see how to rectify the sky q but no info on the main box. Can anyone help?  Thank you

@Carbo1  Try turning the box off at the mains for 5 minutes then restart

Thanks. I have been turning off at the socket but not waiting 5 mins. I'll try that now and let you know !

@Outage  Sky Q is the box so have you tried power cycling it turn of the mains for five minutes then restart

Tried it but does not work for me. No chsnce of getting an engineer out or a goodwill refund!!

Have you tried the recommended fix that Sky have mentioned for this problem;

Switch off your Sky Q box at the power socket for 30 seconds and back on again

Sky Q Box keep switching off

My Sky Q Box keeps switching off in th emiddle of programs. I have to switch it off and wait for it to reset. The internet is still availble when this happens. It happened 4 times in 1 hour yesterday.

Thanks for the responses.  It's more about the main sky box being off as well when majority of info on line is for skyQ

Still no access to Recordings (Please wait...), unable to Record (This program cannot be recorded). Restarted, unplugged abd plugged back in multiple times

 

Have Sky acknowledged these issues or are they just saying turn it off and back on again?!

I had that issue, and I had to pair the remote with the sky q box again. Try that and hopefully it will work.

On 40th attempt finally rebooted and back on. Can't seem to cancel the replacement box which has now been despatched

My sky remote control has dies since last night. I've changed the batteries but nothing. I can turn on my sky q box using the standby button on the box but can't do anything else as the remote control is dead. I've tried the 7 + 9, 1 + 3 button thing, but nothing. Anyone else having the same problem?
