I am also having this issue, it started tonight. When I watch any recording after about 10 minutes the screen goes black and the box freezes. I have to power off and reboot to get anything back. I can fast forward the recording to where it crashed and carry on but then after about 10 minutes it crashes again. I tried the first reset 001 trick but it's made no difference. It's a cold comfort to know I'm not alone...

Mine is the same although the outage is getting shorter every time it happens. Mine started around about 9.30 tonight so I unplugged at the mains. My box stayed on about half an hour then went again. It's happened five more times since with the last time I reset the box it lasting about 10 minutes before going again. Pain in the backside.

I've started to suffer the same issues described. Just downloaded a software update available through the System Info. Don't know whether that resolves it or not.

This is a known issue, it's reported on the news sites now. A sky issue, hopefully they will push out an update ASAP.

Tonight's problems are not related to the Q30 software update which was released back in March. I think one of the hopeless Google AI responses mentions something about sofware update which is causing the confusion.

I've started to get this issue this evening.
Tv goes blank, no signal. Sky box has green light but will turn off, have unplug.
Comea back on, works fine for 20 minutes and then same thing happens.

Has been ok until today then switching off every 20 minutes after I switch off the box and back on. Trying this suggestion and see how it goes.

Mine started about 9pm tonight too, does off, but green light stays on. Remote doesn't then work, I have to unplug it at the wall and reboot. Checked everything and updated software.
started looking on here and saw loads of comments from just tonight, then saw yours saying it's happening to loads of people, so hopefully it's something sky can resolve quickly and we don't all need new boxes 🤞🏼

Update - as you've probably read from many other helpful contributors here. It's a known issue, being reported in the news. Sky outage. I would expect an urgent update to be pushed out ASAP. So, get to bed and by the morning GBNEWS breakfast should be on

Re: Sky Q HDMI connection dropping with LG OLED TV
Did anyone try the software update for the sky q box as recommended by sky.
i have very recently had this problem where when watching tv via sky q the tv will suddenly report no signal & goes to screensaver. The sky q box still shows a green light but the sky remote doesn't work with the sky q box.
I've been having to unplug the box, wait at least 10 seconds, then plug back in, wait for the reboot then all is fine, until it does it again. I've just done the software update on the sky q box, but as it's late & it took a while to update, I'll try tomorrow to see if it's had any effect.
