Thank you Timmy.

Re: Sky Q going off thursday night
No to Sky Go, it wasn't even possible to log on access "My Sky" to find out what was going on. Accessing Sky Go for me was impossible.

Re: Sky Q box freezes up and screen goes black every 20mins
Yes this was happening yesterday but the problem has been rectified now. Thanks for letting me know but I had found out about it through a report on RTÉ news. Thankfully it wasn't my sky Q box I thought I would have to get it replaced no service has resumed

Re: Sky q switches off - 15/05
I have been plagued by problems since Thursday. TV saying no signal and tonight pictire leeps going blank every few seconds. We pay a premium for what? Need to reconsider renewing my contract next time based on this!

Tried another hdmi cable? Does the power button change colour when it happens or just stay on green?

Try setting the box to only output a low res for a while and see if it stabilises. If so oush the res up until it starts messing up again. If it's below 1080p I'd try buying a new high speed one, they're not expensive. But could be the output chip on the box has issues.
also worth trying a different hdmi input in the tv to eliminate that
