Re: Sky Q box keeps shutting down
I've had to reboot the box (i.e. disconnect from mains, then reconnect) every time it freezes. So I reckon it's been rebooted at least 4 times since last night. What i'd like to know is why Sky aren't offering any explanation?

Everyone turn the Standby mode & Smart standby mode in Settings > Setup > Preferences to off and this will be resolved. Only need to do it on the main Sky Q box if you have multi room.

Re: Samsung tv says no signal and chrck power
This started happening to my skyq box last night. When checking the source function its showing that the skyq box is switched off ( showing a red off button ) anf the skyq box actually has a green light showing on the box. Cannot do anything with the remote and have to disconnect box from the mains and restart which works ok for a while then switches off ! All other source functions work ok.

Having the same issue as everyone else off multiple times last night trying this morning i have sound but blank screen green light on anyone else having this problem, I have unplugged and re started twice but the same thing sounds but no picture

I think Sky are being a bit tight-lipped about the issue (probably don't like to admit there's a big problem behind the scenes ??) With all the serious technical issues at the Co-op. Marks and Sparks and Harrods of late, makes you wonder if Sky are the latest victims...?

Sky Box
Like most people on here my Sky Box started playing up 15/5/25 at about ten to ten thirty last night and have still got the problem this morning. Tried phoning but you've got difficulties as well. I thought it was my box bit it said that service was unavailable. I should be able to use Catch Up to get programmes I've missed.

Sky Q Blank Screen Issue (Solution)
Everyone turn the Standby mode & Smart standby mode in Settings > Setup > Preferences to off and this will be resolved. Only need to do it on the main Sky Q box if you have multi room.
If you cannot get into the Menu, disconnect your box from mains for a minute and then reconnect and it will restart.

Last night Sky kept crashing on main QSky box and then crashing connected Sky box in another room. We had to turn off & disconnect both boxes 3/4 times to get connection again.
very frustrating so was there a connectivity issue generally with Sky last night?

It's been happening to me like this for a few months. All of a sudden and quite randomly the mini box loses its service. I can still
access apps like Discovery+ via the home menu (so there clearly IS a network connection and something in Q is working) plus when I go to settings everything is ticked that should be ticked. Then I reset the connection and nothing then works.
I'm in the last few days of having a mini box for multi room due to this issue - and cost - so it's not worth the hassle of contacting the support team who normally (a) deny there's a problem and (b) don't know how to fix a problem. But I'm seriously fed up with the growing number of issues that I experience with Sky. Just sort of addicted to the otherwise convenient package after more than 30 years on and off as a customer (and over 20 years continuously) Diamond VIP doesn't count for much.

Same. Box crashed every 20 minutes. I read on GB news it is affecting 30,000 so I don't know why Sky are not acknowledging it here.
