Are sky actually doing anything to fix this. 20 minutes and crash. Black screen on TV but still green and blue lights on box. Remote non responsive. Power off/on every 20 minutes. Software update.. Glasgow area. Sky claims there are no issues!

Watching a recording last night and went off saying no Internet connection I have rebooted but still not working this morning

Sky switched off at 1030pm last night and still not working

Watching a recorded show last night - at around 2230 hours it stopped with a message saying no longer connected. Tried to reset, reactivate, reboot many times and same again this morning.

Yep constantly happening. A new satellite is needed as the one up there now is just about holding together and it will be many millions for a new satellite. Won't be long before it's all over the broadband and even that keeps going off for me.

@SussexWolf , I've disconnected power and restarted. Sound is now restored. If it's still working in 16 minutes I can relax as problem would appear to be fixed. 👍Thanks for the guidance. 👏

My Sky Q box keeps 'going off'. Its intermittent.

The box has become very unrelaible. 50/50 whether it will work or not.HDMI  Cable changed. Power and connection cables are tight. the card is in

My Sky was switching off last night too, today its still off, took power cable out and rebooted seems to be ok!!!  for now, if it was a Sky fault why have they not said?

Sky q not working . Box on says no connection . Green light on . U plugged and reset still doing the same . Come on sky get this sorted

Sky have been working on this most of the night. A reboot this morning is working for many.

As I posted earlier, as of 8am today, Sky have issued a message:-


We are aware of some technical issues overnight that led to Sky Q boxes to go into standby mode. Our technical support teams investigated and resolved this. If your sky Q box is still stuck in standby please switch off your Sky Q box at the power socket for 30 seconds and back on again which will restore service. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Was watching a recording of Air Crash Investigation and box locked up. Rebooted and it kept doing the same every 20mins or so. Started about 21:30 and I gave up at about 23:30. Seems ok this morning.
