Re: Sky q main box freezing over last month and frequency increasing

My sky q box started doing this last night. Froze three times in an hour. Pictures froze, remote and buttons on box unresponsive.

 Absolutely nothing has changed in my setup so thought it must be a cooling issue.  Be helpful to know if anyone else has started to suffer. Will ring Sky this weekend

Had problems last night seemed to jam up and could do nothing with it not even turn box off, all able to do was reset by pulling the plug and it came back for approx 15 minutes then jammed up again.

 

Seems to be ok this morning but not had it on for long.

 

What are SKY doing about it as it seems to be a major problem.

It's not a privilege when you're paying for it. If ITV or Channel 4 go down that may be considered a privilege that is being lost, but when you pay for a service you have a right to expect it to work!

Sky Q not working

Issues started last night saying not commented. Works when rebooted but same thing happening again every 30 mins or so .Thourght it related to the problem reported last night but still ongoing .What's going on ???

Been having same issues since 2130 last night tried again this morning no change. Can't find any indication from Sky what issue is. Was it a software update gone wrong??

This is where sky really shows it's colours. 

 

Not a single piece of information from sky nor do I expect any.

Rebooted about 5 times last night before giving up and still no sky q this morning. This problem is clearly beyond user level.

It's not viewed that way by government compensation policy. I can't find the formal reference, but tv is not included regardless of whether it's a paid service or not

Flipping heck... is it still down... Night truckers 2nd night off today... let's hope i can do some Sky catch up tonight then lol, or it'll be Netflix TV app for the 2nd time running grr!!

If you pay for any service of any kind, you expect to receive that service and are entitled to some sort of compensation if you do not get the service you are paying for!
