Sky q box stuck on accessibility screen
- Sky q main box is stuck on accessibility screen. The mini q box is also unresponsive to remote but is stuck on the menu screen. Tried resetting and repairing both remotes. Nothing happened. Tried plugging out router, mini q box working, main q box still stuck. This is for past 2 weeks. Every time sky box is put in stand by same thing happens. Any suggestions? All other equipment linked to router work fine.

Hi @Amf2
Try a Reset Settings in the main Q box hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.
Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.
Resetting the settings will also reset:
Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

Hi, problem is the main q box remote is completely unresponsive. I had a spare sky remote... that won't pair either

Hi @Amf2
Reset your Qbox remote by pressing and holding 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
This will set it to infrared which will work all Q boxes. However the remote must be pointed directly at the Q box.
See then if can get your Q box working with the remote in infrared
Once you get the box working make sure that you are pointing your remote at the mini box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Sky have suggested the following…
- Unpair their Sky Q remote from the box by holding 4&6
- Wait for the remote to flash
- Then dismiss the information screen "Skip & set up later"
- Hold 1&3 to repair the remote control
If 4&6 does not allow you to clear the information screen, try holding 7&9 to reset the Sky Q remote then hold 1&3 and follow the on-screen setup journey to allow the remote to control the TV.

Take batteries out, keep the select button pressed down and reinsert the battles whilst select button is pressed down. This worked after trying the above.
