After what seems like a lifetime of trying to get Discovery+ activated and paired up with Sky Q to receive my free 12 months use, its finally happened!! I've finally gotten to pair it up!! However, once I put Sky Q into standby and then went back to watch Discovery+ I'm now getting a screen which says go to discoveryplus.com/subscribe then select refresh on the Sky Q screen to continue streaming..
However, the only option in the Discovery+ page is to literally subscribe to a payment plan.. am I having to pay now instead of getting the 12 months free?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Still no luck with getting In Discovery they email the same links I gave tried. So frustrating now 😡😡😡😡😡

Discovery have updated the app on Sky Q so you will need to log in again try the following
Follow the instructions you see onscreen when launching the Discovery+ app
Select log in
You'll be taken to the screen with the activation code and a new URL link for Discovery which is discoveryplus.com/link
Log on to your Discovery+ account
Enter the activation code - this will activate your Sky Q box

Thanks for that. My problem is not the Sky q activation.. the pairing etc is done, accordingly the 12 months free Discovery Plus is activated.. my issue is that I am now being shown a screen which states go to discoveryplus.com/subscribe and then I am supposed select refresh to be able to continue using Discovery Plus..
When I log into Discovery Plus there is only the options to literally take out a paid subscription (ie, €5.99 per month).. My question is whether this now wanting me to sign up and pay rather than be using the supposed free 12 months... I cannot watch Discovery Plus until this action is completed.. Attached is an image of what I am getting when launching Discovery Plus..
Any help greatly appreciated 🙏

Not sure if they can help but let's try so I have escalated your post to Sky who should be in touch with you regarding this via a private message on this forum or an email to you, both of which will invite you to a private chat.
Look out for a blue chat bubble. When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.

I have been trying literally hours to get the app up and running again since the update.I have access code but it will not activate keep getting a error message i.m totally stuck

When you went to the App did you choose Log In or Continue with Sky Activation ?
What is the actual error message you are getting and from what URL ?

Hi @coco-notts I've tried each option.. it always comes back to the same page asking me to go to discoveryplus.com/subscribe and then press refresh to continue streaming...

I gave up and just subscribed to the entertainment pass.. Voila, it now works on my Sky Q.. I might have to pay monthly for it but at least it's working and I can stop driving myself insane going round in circles now 🙂 maybe the future update will sort out the free for 12 months bit???

I had exactly the same problem as you. However, I downloaded the Discovery+ app on my iPad and that worked and I could play any content I then went back into the Sky Discovery + app and voila it worked.

@trevforum I even tried that too.. but to no joy, just the same page over and over again, no matter where I went or what I did 😕 hence why I gave up.. at least I have 7 days free trial.. its not 12 months but its better than I had before 😆😆

Done it! i.ve been chatting on messenger to Graeme and Jillian at sky they sent me a link but its taken 6 hrs for it to eventually let me in and put the activation code in .
clear all cookies etc in browser on whatever you using i pad or mobile
Go to discovery+ app if you just reinstating your account and activating press bottom button with sky already and get your code.

and wait hopefully not 6 hrs like me and put in the code after you signed in,phew been a long day.Sky have been brilliant yet again for me.
