Re: Sky Q Apps pixelating
I've phoned sky again today. They are sending a replacement box, so we will see if it solves the problem.
I asked for the complaints email address and it is viewerR@sky.uk
I still intend to complain about this problem on everyone's behalf and I suggest others do the same if they can or wish to.
I asked if she was aware of the pixelation problem and she said the only problem she was aware of was the outages people are experiencing.
Open reach are also coming to check for connection problems in the next 72hrs.
She also said that these q boxes only seem to have a life span of 3 to 4 years, that the hard drive only lasts that long.
So will try the new box when it arrives and take it from there.
Thank you to everyone who has offered advice and hoping we all get this problem sorted.

Re: Sky Q apps (Disney, Prime, etc) showing intermittent artifacts
It looks like we have a version 3 box, and yes, it's having the same issues as the old box I had. Pixelation on Disney, Amazon, and lots of audio, stop/start problems on Youtube too.

Re: Sky Q Apps pixelating
If you get a new box, I'll be curious - I've just had a brand new one, (internal power supply) and the problems persist.

Made a formal complaint to Sky (for what it's worth) as the issue still persists.

Re: Sky Q Apps pixelating
Switched to EE TV. APPLE 4k box , netflix HD , NOW TV (sky atlantic etc) , normal live TV in HD £18 a month.
Tested prime, disney and appletv and its completely differently . Its all in 4k and i didnt even know prime could be streamed in such quality.
SKY Q box is by the door awaiting the packaging to return it. Wont be missed.

Yes, it seems that only the version 2 box with the ext psu don't have this pixelation issue!
@Nynja+Squirreldoes the version 3 box get hot and can you hear any fan noise especially after a powering on? V2 boxes have a very loud fan when powering on but this fades to inaudible after several seconds.

Re: Sky Q Apps pixelating
I think I'll be joining you. Have ran out of options now. Sky engineer has been, open reach engineer has been, software update. Played around with Internet resetting etc and lastly new box this morning. All connected up and pixelating again..hasn't made any difference. So disappointed.
