@Kelsingra this is the third update from a Sky employee the first being in July and each time the update was Our Technical Team is actively working on a fix, and then nothing else.
Is there a actual end date in sight for the people that are having this issue?

@Kelsingra as your engineers have been working on this matter for 4 months is it asking too much for Sky to give some indication of what the issue is and whether ordering a new box is a solution?.
Could you please inform your front line staff who take our calls that there is an issue. How hard can that be? We seem to know more about the issue than the people taking our calls, an absolutely ridiculous situation.
Finally can you your dismantle your Complaints Department and develop a new one and one that actually cares about their customers. Their treatment of some customers here has been nothing short of shocking.

I've been on this thread for a while and still having the same issues and with no other way to watch the services on the apps.
The last few days I have also noticed that (on Prime at least...haven't tried other apps yet) that it all of a sudden stops and just get a dark blank screen, have to press back up to come out of the app and start again, and it then starts a couple mins back from where I had watched! Does anyone know if this is a separate known issue or could it be to do with this issue on this thread??

Yes, last night I also had this on Prime; screen just went black, but also noticed that the sky box had gone into standby.

I've had this too, only on Prime. So far...

Has happened to me also

I've had this exact issue for 6+ weeks, thought changing to Sky Broadband would help, but seemingly no.
The pixelation is almost every minute in some form or another.
The only difference between then and now, is I'm now paying more money to Sky for services that are sub standard😩

I got involved many pages ago think around message 75.
anyway when I called the other day openly and immediately acknowledged the issue. It is being worked upon but no timeframe.
1 suggestion made.
Go to settings, do not select it but whilst over the setting for select type 001 and enter. Then asked do you want
to refresh apps. Say yes and let it run. Carry on watching android recording as normal.
since doing this have watched 2 programmes on Disney and a 3 hour film Netflix and no pixelation. Early days and more watching/testing to convince me it is a permanent fix. It's a start.
Prime, Apple and Discovery plus not yet tested.

For the last few weeks my streaming apps are constantly pixelating. Only happens when on sky tv - not on mobile or laptop.
Is anyone else having issues

I've 'reset apps' more times than I care to count, no difference...

I believe the Sky Q box is obsolete and everybody is encouraged to swap to Sky Stream. This cured the pixelation on my streaming. Apart from needing two remotes, one for Sky Stream and one for the LG television, to switch the Stream system on, it all works perfectly. I'm sure Sky will come up with a solution soon, eh Sky?

Incorrect. New Sky Q subscriptions are readily available.

A nine year old sorted me out. When switching off, hold the button for three seconds.

And three seconds for switching on.
