I'm in the same situation I cant watch through my tv as it's not got the disney plus app on it & no option to add it & when we watch prime through our tv the picture isn't as good it tries to get me to pay an extra £2.99 or something for high definition 🙄 the amount of money sky costs we shouldn't have these issues my daughter has the chromecast in her bedroom & doesn't have any pixelating! Come on sky sort it out it never used to happen.

As well as the pixelating in the Apps, I'm now noticing it in recorded programs.

I am having the same issues with netflix spinning and apps used through sky pixilating. May as well just have freeview and use the smart tv apps. No point in watching pixilating pictures on a big TV. Really sick of all the issues I have had with sky for about 5 months now and getting worse rather than better. They had the cheek to send an email saying they are increasing the prices this week as well. I have been with Sky 24 year and I have never had so many problems. I think it's time to rethink how to get my tv.

Our TV has started pixelating through Apps on SkyQ since we installed full fibre broadband. Really fed up. Wish we hadn't upgraded our broadband now 😞

Nothing to do with your broadband upgrade. Purely down to Sky, hopefully they will update the software soon to fix it.

I am having exactly the same problem, live tv and recordings all fine but all of the apps are pixelating/green screening etc. This has only started the past two weeks or so. It's not the internet as all other devices in the house are working perfectly fine, I am also with sky for internet!

We are a month in since this post, we are still having the same issue. Could we have an update as to when this fault will be resolved please?

I'm having the same issue with most of the streaming apps using sky q and sky broadband

Just had sky engineer out, booked via website due to picture issues. I found this thread after it was booked. He said they have no fixes yet and to just keep checking updates. My sky q box is on update 27 he seemed to think he saw a box on update 29 recently not sure if that is a fix ?
hopefully it is fixed soon.

Same issue for me pixelated picture when accessing apps through sky q box, no issues straight through TV. Replaced sky Q box and same issue. Sky don't seem to know what to do , I was told mine was a one off issue but looking at the amount of threads that's rubbish. I also believe a firmware issue with the box is causing the problem. Also the quality of the app picture is significantly worse through the sky box

I've also had this pixelization and green screen issue with apps but the mini boxes don't seem to suffer from this issue so I thought I would swap the location of these as I have satelite feeds to both locations. However it didn't like the sat feeds at the other location (even though both worked on the TV's sat input 🤔) so I swapped them back. After that I got over an hours viewing on Netflix before I saw the first pixelisation so I'm thinking perhaps it's a heat related issue, as well as software, as the box had cooled down considerably during the switch-over.
Going to test this theory tonight with a large metal defrosting tray resting over the hottest part of the main box to act like a cooler 😁

We had fibre installed at the beginning of august, 150mb download speeds & generally seems to be working fine, however when trying to stream anything from Netflix, prime, paramount+ during most programs/ films we get the picture pixilating at some point just for 3-4 seconds, but often multiple times. Very annoying & we never previously had a problem with our older slower broadband ( about 33-35mb).
Also I can't say films/programs are any faster to load on any of the above apps since switching to fibre.
Big disappointment so far.

@Buckles29 it's unrelated to broadband speed. I've been on 300mb download speed since April and the box is hardwired to the router. We didn't see any app pixelation until the end of July. This is a fault introduced (in my opinion) by a software update at the end of July.

The passive cooling definitely helps to reduce the pixelization - 3 hours on Amazon Prime and only a couple of minor pixie issues noticed 😀 Trying Netflix tommorrow night.

As well as the pixalation issues now, my sky Q mini is now cutting in and out and have had to reset a number of times since Sunday evening. I pulled out the leads at the back of the mini box and put them back in but that only lasts for a little while and it states not connected - internet is fine on everything else - sky will certainly be getting a call tomorrow - outrageous at this stage !
