Interestingly, the last few nights it has been ok and no software has happened as I'm still on 08.00L

@Tina1961 I managed to watch the whole of Aliens on Disney+ without interruption. The next day it was impossible to watch another programme on the same app as it pixelated every few seconds. No software changes (same as you), so it's a bit of a lottery it seems.

THe software update will be the characters in parenthesis, just updated mine after working with support on the phone as my Sky Q box wasn't displaying anything other than a black image. A reset and resending the signal on their end fixed things (locked signal and signal strength 90-100) and then I updated the Sky Q software at suggection of support.
The only change in the version was the (5u193c0) designation. Rest of it stayed the same.

... and I don't know yet if this will fix the pixellating issue, only that it reolved other issues. Will share anything I do see here.

Ah we have that exact code (in the brackets by the software version - 5u193c0) but I have no idea what it was before or even when it updated!

Phoned in fault relating to ongoing pixelation issues with Sky Q.... no issues with apps on TV....ones affected for me...Paramount, ITV Channel 4
Agent said they were only aware of problems on Netflix which Netflix were fixing with new app software. No issues spotted. All suggested attempts at fix done....Engineer coming out on Tuesday...I will update.

I'm having the same problem and it's been happening for some time using Netflix and Amazon Prine through Sky Q Apps. Presumably no one has sorted this yet?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAfraid not @APandMMMill, still waiting an update from Sky as per post 2 in this thread.

One thing I have noticed over the last couple of days, which I forgot to mention is getting some weird screen artefacts occasionally with our mini box watching live tv.
And both boxes are wired via Ethernet and wifi turned off.

I am having issues on streaming apps theough my main sky q box, everything else is ok but every minute or so it pixels for a few seconds, anyone else having the same issue

Same here. Last 2- 3 weeks all the streaming apps have been pixelating.
Very frustrating!!

@Daniel-F is there any update on when this issue will be fixed. Having to watch all streaming apps via TV which is a pain.

This same artifacts/pixilation problem for the last few weeks also. It is on nearly all the App's on Sky Q that we use including Prime, Netflix and last night very badly on ITVx. The problem seems to be getting worse and makes watching some programmes almost impossible.
I am astounded, reading back through all the previous posts, that there seems to be only one official response from a member of the Sky staff and that no worthwhile information has been provided on when we can expect a fix or even an acknowledgement from Sky that they confirm that there is in fact a real fault that is causing severe affects to what should be a high quality service. Sky is not cheap but if you get quality in both the product and the service then it is an acceptable cost, but as both the product and service are not of an acceptable standard I do not see why should be paying.
My next stop is to call Sky and tell the of my displeasure and unless I geta satisfactory response I will be cancelling my contract after almost 20 years. Good Luck All.

Same issues for me regarding streaming apps watched on the sky q box. My other big issue which seems to have coincided with this, is sky q mini signal dropouts. I've got 2 minis and both have worked well for a couple of years but they are now unwatchable as the signal drops every minute or two.
Please sort this out - the service is good but expensive...

Same issue here, tried everything to resolve and followed all the advice both from sky amd on this community.....still continues to do it. Hope they can get it sorted as so frustrating 😡
