I might be going back to thinking the box is not HDR compliant, even though thr hardware version suggests it it.
When I go through the TV Amazon Prime app, a film that is labelled on the info as both UHD and HDR results in an "HDR on" screen indication flashing on. Looking at the infor for the same film via the Amazon Prime app of the Sky Q box has only the UHD label and not the HDR. Not surprisingly, o HDR indication comes on when playing the movie.
if this is the case, find it puzzling why new Sky Q 2TB box which has the latest Hardware Version and is supposed to be HDR compliant isn't.
Just trying to get all my facts right before a call to Sky, if this is what's needed...
@Jeepyrover the Sky Q box you have is definately HDR compatible as I have the same box and can watch in HDR what might be the problem is your TV from what I can find out is your TV is from 2015 and in this post here on AV forums there is a debate on the TV's actual ability for HDR bearing in mind that Sky use HLG version of HDR then unless the TV fully supports HLG which is dubious due to the age of it you won't get it on Disney+
