Re: Set time before after recording
That's annoying as sometimes things run over.

Re: Set time before after recording
You may, also, wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q where I mention a few differences (including this)

Re: Set time before after recording
I found when I originally had sky+ masny years back I'd often miss a bt off the end of a tv show not a live event. If sky have since improved this that's fine then.

Most of the metadata will record the whole programme but as noted live events may overrun if they don't update it in time.

Re: Set time before after recording
Thank you looking now. I had to switch in the end as my multiroom box kept coming up every week saying sunscribe to watch the channels when I have paid for those channel and the card kept having to be paired each week so I gave in.

Re: Set time before after recording
Very helpful information. I noticed we are getting the 1TB box but it says 1TB UHD. so I assume a newer one. Does that contain the same amount of storage as I assumed it would be less than the 2TB?
All my other questions have been answered in the guide thanks.
I originally took out sky TV just for myself years agon and when we could record two things at the once had that. I live at hme so two cables go all the way up the stairs tacked round to my bedroom. Then my dad wanted it in the living room for himself and I got multiroom. I inented to have the mini box. Would it be too much to ask the engineer to remove my old cables?
We just recently paid an company to give us a new LNB when ours broke. I assume if I ask I can keep it for my neighbour. His is held in place by tape.

Yes, the 1TB UHD box is the one normally supplied as standard now. The Storage is obviously lower than the 2 TB versions but should be completely adequate for time shifting live content. Sky boxes have never been intended for long term storage or archiving.

They wouldn't normally do this but you can only ask.

The Q LNB is different to the Sky+HD one.
Your existing LNB is your property and do make sure you tell the installer you want to keep it. It is only any use to your neighbour if they have Sky+HD and not Sky Q.
