Remote doesn’t work unless very close to the sky box

Our sky remote doesn't work unless really close to the sky box .. we have changed the remote with our spare and it still won't work

Have you tried rebooting the Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

Hi @SCG80 

If it is a Bluetooth remote (one with a Voice control microphone button) then make sure it is correctly paired to the Q box.

Try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Thank you but no that hasn't worked and I've just noticed the volume buttons don't work at all
