It's an issue on Sky Q too. Sky are aware and there's a long thread on the Q board.

Thank you for your patience whilst we worked through this problem.

 

Our support teams have advised that the problem has been resolved. Can you check and if you are still having problems, can you switch your box off and the power, and back on please?

Tried power off and on twice today (17th) but did not resolve issue.

Pause and rewind not working on most channels.... suddenly started this evening!

Increasing number of channels are displaying a notice at the top of the screen saying  " You cannot pause or rewind this programme. " ...  Never had this problem with live TV before.    😞

As of 22.50 on 17th , both my sky hd boxes won't pause or record. Please advise. Have rebooted both. Needs activating at your end on the account I think. It has happened before, thanks

This is still happening for our SkyQ box also. 
we have already restarted the box twice tonight.

The fix does not seem to have worked, I have rebooted my Sky Q box (including minis) and the problem is still occuring on BBC, ITV and channel 5 channels, works fine on Sky channels.

Live pause TV issue

As of 11.50 pm on the 17th, live pause still unavailable on most channels, even after I have rebooted the box.

Now nearly 12 midnight and the pause rewind still not working so Sky+ box being switched off. 

The TV info box at the bottom of the screen  ...the football was  on but that box  was showing Eastenders as the programme title?

I have the same problem re 'You cannot pause or rewind this program'.

 

It is now 18 September 2025 @1.23 am. I have tried resetting my Sky Q box 3 times and the problem is still there.

 

Sky, please look into this!!
