The answer(s) is in the 2nd post marked as the answer as it happens at:-
https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Q/Netflix-Red-Spinning-Circle-on-Launch/td-p/4428388
The other option which would be by far favourite to my mind is to use the App on your Smart TV (presuming it has one) instead. I use it where possible over the Q Apps as the Q box is showing it's age now. Amazon Prime for instance on the box buffers badly for UHD whereas the TV is perfect and seems to have a better picture and audio both. They load quicker than the Q box as well and having specific buttons for Prime, Disney+ and Netflix is just the silver lining.
So what happens if the Firetvstick is also getting the red circle on the Netflix app but the Sky Q Netflix app is working as it should obviously I'd watch it via Sky Q if that was the case.
My FireTv stick connects to 5ghz and two DNS servers are listed in the Netflix app on my FireTvstick
192.168.1.1 (not using Sky BB at the moment)
8.8.8.8
Awesome, I'm happy for you. No idea what that's got to with it mind as no one mentioned a Firestick.
Awesome @Anonymous you mentioned smart tv what if I don't have a smart tv that's why I mentioned I use the Firetvstick Netflix app
I select a programme the red circle goes round and round the % stays at zero
I've been watching Paramountplus, Disney+ Prime Video from the same streaming device without any issues
But only have the issue with watching Netflix
My Netflix subscription is via Sky so happening on another device not only Sky Q
Pedantic

Yes, definitely pedantic...

Highlight netflix app. Press and hold the enter button. Immediately press down and then release but still keeping the enter button pressed. Hold until nexflix loads and the red circle flashes

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, can you please re-word it? I can't follow the order of the steps suggested. I'm using Sky Q. Thanks. #Chloesmum4

Hi just seen this and you probably have it sorted by now, but you need to press 001 and then press select (middle circle button) I was trying and it wasn't working but I found the answer via the link posted in this thread.

Tried that a number of times, also switched off a box and reset system whirls through all its settings but the red circle just keeps turning.

Or have you tried this?
Can you try these steps please:
1 - Log into Netflix via the web browser.
2 - Highlight your profile picture (Top right corner).
3 - Click on Account.
4 - Under the Security and Privacy option, click on Manage access and devices.
5 - Select the device name: (it may be called SkyQ ......or Sky UK Set-top box).
6 - Select--> click on the "Sign out" option on the SkyQ ......or Sky UK Set-top box.
7 - Go to your SkyQ box and launch the Netflix app on your SkyQ box.

P.S I forgot to add that we had not done anything at all during that time since trying the other options previously months earlier with no success. Would have edited other post but there was no option to do that.

Easy way. Don't bother with the Sky box. Connect your TV to WiFi and use Netflix without Sky.

Along with possibly a superior picture, superior audio and a superior experience navigating the App, all while paying less on your Sky bill than standalone (and if not cheaper then you're doing something wrong).

I Liked this but actually on my 2nd TV, a vintage 1080p plasma still going strong, there are no smart apps so the sky mini does a great job running netflix, D+ iplayer etc for us there.

I've given up, just using Samsung tv app instead. At least I can get HDR on it unlike Sky version.
