Hi all, hope someone can help me out.
My ISP is Plusnet and I have installed a Deco mesh system with 2 dics - but I don't use wi-fi to connect up my Sky Q boxes, as it just didn't get along with the Decos.
This is my current set up:
Router upstairs in the bedroom
Main Sky Q box in the living room
Mini box 1 in the same bedroom as the router
Mini box 2 in another bedroom
Main box is connected to the router via a tp-link AV1000 adapter and works perfectly.
Mini box 1 is connected directly to the router via an ethernet cable and works perfectly.
Mini box 2 is connected to the router via a tp-link AV1000 adapter and works for some of the time, but will complain about losing connectivity to the main Sky Q box quite often.
I have gone into the "secret" Settings menu and disabled wi-fi on all 3 boxes.
The only difference between mini box 1 and 2 is that 2 uses the tp-link adapter, so logically I suppose that is the problem - but I don't understand how the main box can be 100% fine all the time using a tp-link where mini box 2 isn't.
Any suggestions as to what is going on and how to fix it would be very gratefully received.
Much obliged!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI get dropouts from time to time on my netgear powerlines. Not more than once every couple of weeks. I think it's just vulnerable to cable quality / interference. Usually comes back by itself but I've had to power reset the powerlines a few times.

Thanks for the reply.
I've got an update - having had zero issues with the box in the same room as the router, tonight it lost connection to the main box twice during the 15 minutes I had it on.
Starting to wonder if the main box is the problem.
Good grief, I'm going to have to talk to Sky, aren't I? 😫

I have a similar problem.
BT is the ISP
Deco E4 Mesh system, internet connected with an E4 at the router
Main Sky box and Sky Mini BOTH connected to the their E4's via Ethernet
Wifi switched off on both Main Sky and Mini boxes.
Sky Mini box keeps dropping out. Is the above configuration known to work, or are the E4's known to be problematic even when connected to their Sky boxes over Ethernet from their E4's?

Where would you suggest I focus my attention?
