How do I rescan channels

Every time I switch on my TV I get a message telling me to rescan channels and it's right in the centre of the screen with rescan highlighted I press the ok butbut nothing happens Can anyone tell me how to remove the message permanently or how to rescan

@juliacornish  That is a message from your TV and unless you have an aerial plugged into it there will be no point rescanning.   If you do have an aerial plugged in then follow the TV's user guide.

 

It's not a Sky Q message.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

As @GD1 indicates, that's scanning for Digital Terrestrial ('Freeview') signal broadcast from a local television transmitter mast/tower rather than anything to do with satellite television.

 

Typically there will be an option somewhere in the television settings (accessed using the TV remote) to tell the television not to scan on startup.
