Getting error message MYSKY_2998 trying to set up paramount+

I cannot set up Paramount+. My error message is MYSKY_2998.

I have not been able to use this channel since I got it some 6 weeks ago

Hi @Cricky , have you had a response or a solution yet? I've tried to contact sky multiple times and no solution offered

Me as well and accordiong to sky tonight, there is a 42 minute waiting time to speak to those lovely people at the sky Q desk!!!   Award winning customer service ya know!!!

I did finally speak to someone and get a solution - if it's the same as mine your box needs a software update (home-settings-system info-software version-set up). Took about 20 mins to update if I remember and then everything worked, I think I went from version 16 to 23 or something. Hope that helps!

no error message now just says that there is no active subscription???  Yet I am sigend in and YES I do have full ciinema. Spoke to a "customer service" guy for 40 mins and after all the crap of him NOT listening to a word I said....said I had to call back.............to WHO?  Another idiot that doesnt listen????

We had exactly this issue. Please see message by previous author, we had to do a software update from 16 to 22, even though it was a brand new box. Then we were able to get Paramount+.

I had the same issue if you go into settings,system info,software version-set up software download, takes a few minutes but it works I now have paramount+

Just had upgrade to sky q in October then sky talked me into a trial of cinema. I too could not get paramount to activate. Followed the suggestion to update software and after that was done had to restart box. Follow instructions to create a paramount+ account.

I'm having similar issues, but when I go to set up the account, I'm only offered a billed service, either a monthly subscription of £6.99 or an annual service of £69.99

 

I'm meant to be getting it for free as part of the Sky cinema package.
