Hi, we went through the annoying trouble shooting on the phone with Sky (lost all our recordings, as had to do a reset) and then as expected they said we'd have to have an engineer. Booked one and he replaced our box and all is now okay. Our box was 6 years old though, a newer one shouldn't have this problems, unless they gave you a refurb. I'd persist with them on the phone, annoying though it is, and get an engineer out as you don't own the box so you shouldnt have to suffer with a fault.

Sky have been no help at all with the problems that we've had( we've had quite a few problems. It sounds as if there is a problem with the box, but they keep asking me to try different things,which make no difference at all, and they cannot understand what is going on

Probably a bit late now, but I had this problem. I sorted it by permanently deleting the items you have already deleted. To do this, from recordings go down to manage, press right, go down to deleted. You then get a list of all the programs deleted. Go through each one and permanently delete.
