Yes I have,  asked me to do the usual reboot and check cables etc. But I'm here now watching chan 412 and no issues.

Same issue here - I think it might be happening when I am flicking between a UHD and HD channel - when I just stay on one channel for a while it seems OK.

Mad we are all here saying same thing. And yet we have to think about changing from UHD to HD station. Ridiculous to think. So do we all miss footy,golf,NFL now. Sky need to answer and not expect super users to help. They are great but they are also customers

This issue has been ongoing since yesterday for me. Change channel to either sky sports main even or sky sports + then screen goes blank . Have to change channel then back to get picture back. It does seem like it is a wider sky issue that needs acknowledging

Chloe, hopefully this comes through OK. It's so very annoying and I have rebooted and triple checked everything. Only happens on sky sports.

  • Thanks,  but surely this is a sky issue, the movie channels etc are all fine. I can't watch or enjoy sports without expecting issues.

All the signs point to it being a issue sky's end if it affecting quite a few users. I have seen posts on Facebook saying the same thing.

Definitely a Sky end issue IMHO. If you look here and on the Sky Q FB forum there are simply too many of us for it to be "dicky" HDMI connections. We had a situation with a non functioning YouTube app on SkyQ earlier this year that Sky were slow to acknowledge but had to fix in the end.We pay a lot of money for this service.  Keep pushing folks!

Hi just wanted to back up @Steviep1 . I started my own discussion on the community before I saw his comment but he and what appears to be many others have the same issue and his video is spot on. Just an observation, mine have all happened on channels carrying live sport from abroad IE cricket from India 405, and NFL from the USA 412, don't know if that is significant.

Just wanted to add to this thread to advise that as of 14:10 on Tuesday 4th November I am still experiencing the screen going black on the sports channels. Like everyone else, changing the channel resolves it for a while and then it happens again.

Chloe a "community leader" says that she is reporting it to a support team. So many people have this issue that it has to be a Sky problem, needing a fix.
