@tkole wrote:So frustrating. well i upgraded to the SkyQ box but STILL get the annoying message on channels I'm watching. does it ever go away?
As cesarome says, and has been explained mulitple times in this thread already, it goes away when you stop watching the SD version. Is that on channel 101 on your box? What is on 801?

hi @tkole
Check all your scheduled recordings to make sure they are set against the correct HD channel
Home - Recordings - Scheduled
If any are against an SD version (no HD at the end) then firtsly remove the series link & then delete the scheduled recording - you will then need to set again making sure you do so from your HD version (which you say is OK at 101)
Also we know that scheduling an episode from SKY Go can also set the SD version so watch out for that.
If you are downloading from Catch up then make sure either your download preference is set to HD or select Other formats & then select HD
Main Menu -> Settings -> Setup -> Preferences
(Please note this setting can only be set on the Main box)

Thanks for the info. I checked everything you mentioned and everything looks fine. So not sure why it keeps popping up still. Weird

Re: BBC upgrade message . How do you get rid of it please ?
On your SKY Q remote, hit the HOME button > TV guide > pad right > pad down twice to HD > Your HD channels should be showing here - if you record your BBC channel from here, it should not be showing a banner - also, what number is BBC1 HD here, mine is 101.
Good luck.

So if you choose to watch 101 live from the TV Guide, you get that banner?

Re: BBC upgrade message . How do you get rid of it please ?
Been watching the HD channels mostly this morning and funnily enough haven't seen a message yet but followed Ecosse instructions a few posts earlier and the one sky sports channel i love to watch'409' is NOT on the HD list of channels and i get that message there all the time. So the message only comes up on the NON HD channels?

Re: BBC upgrade message . How do you get rid of it please ?
The message only appears on BBC One SD, to alert SD viewers that the channel will soon be closing. It does not appear on the HD channel. Anyone seeing the message is either watching or recording the SD channel, perhaps without realising. This confusion will end on 8th January when the SD service closes.

Well yeah because if you're watching the HD channel there's no point advising you that you should be watching the HD channel.
We are talking about a BBC thing though. I don't know what you are seeing on 409.

One thing worth a look at is the favourites option. I very rarely use the 3-digit channel numbers, just 1 for BBC1, 2 for Sky News, etc.
