I suspect this is a BBC issue and even if it is a Sky Q problem, you have to get the BBC to say it isn't their app at fault or at least, say they can't replicate the problem before Sky will take a look.

Why?

Because most of the time the app is at fault. We blamed Sky for all the issues on Q with YouTube that took months to resolve, but it was the app. 

That all said, the Q box hardware is getting a bit long in the tooth now and most people will have a better app experience using the ones on their smart TV or streaming device if they have one.

In the meantime, BBC radio stations (and others) are still being broadcast on Q from channel 0101 onwards.

Seems to be fixed now. Can listen to BBC Sounds live now.

Thanks for telling me, I have sound back too - BBC still haven't replied to my emails, probably too busy with scandals!

Yes, it's back working for me. No response from bbc sounds about the issue.  Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions

Message received today from BBC Sounds confirming the fix had been deployed. Not sure it went through a spellchecker first, but at least they replied 👍🏻

Yes it was very helpful, this Sky forum. Couldn't seem to get anywhere with an independent search for an answer.

I also had a reply from BBC Sounds, but they totally misunderstood the issue and told me it was probably being caused if I was using a VPN on my tv! Thank goodness for the sky community
