@PS21 that worked! Thank you. At the same time I was trying this, I was talking to SKY who said the only way to get PAC code was to send via text..... to a number with no service! Monkeys!

Take the sim card out of your phone if you are on android and put it in an i phone or borrow one,go to settings ,then phone green button ,you should see the sim phone number on that, press save! take out the sim from the iphone an put it in your android phone. dial away or check." about phone" in settings your number should be stored on it now and reconize your settings without all the resetting rubbish.

@Joewakastan A word of warning - I received a reply from one of the Sky social profiles/sites. It ended up being a scam. They wanted to make a refund for the time I've been without service while working on the situation. They couldn't get through the verification process so wanted me to do a "virtual unreal test verification process". I was to take a screenshot of the computers choice of site, on this occasion it decided Western Union (from Google chrome search). They wanted me to download the app etc etc etc.. I won't bore you with the convoy but I stringed them along and played the game until they gave in. (I have watched BBC Scam Interceptors enough times to spot a scammer!). I will try and attach the profile page of the messenger service they used. Good luck with the PAC code.

@LeedsRhinos2023 I never knew that Sky Customer Service was so shocking prior to this. In one way it is comforting to know I am not the only one facing these issues with Sky but on the other hand, am angry that so many people are in the same or very similar position. Condolences to your wife, this is the last thing she needs at this time.

After 2 weeks of not being able to make calls, receive calls or send texts, I've phone Sky and cancel the mobile and sending devices de back.
Will go back to EE.
Sky just simply seemed to not want to resolve the issue for me or others. RIDICULOUS!!!!!
15 Jun 2024 10:28 AM
@natheio I have tried going through every setting and situation to resolve it. Problem, as far as I can guess, is that for some unknown reason the number I have ported over to Sky has no access to any of their airtime nor data. Accessing my bill shows zero data available of my allowance. I've pulled this up with accounts. They said it was a tech problem, not accounts. Tech experts went through the basic stuff that's on their help guide but in the end said wait a further 3-5days which has expired already. They pass read off their own help guides then fob you off saying to wait longer.....is 2 weeks not enough????! Lol. Their website says it's easy to switch and retain own number and take 24-48hours! What a joke!

Unfortunately, that seems to be the only solution doesn't it. Am doing the same. Good luck!
15 Jun 2024 10:37 AM
Yep. We're fed up moved to 02. No problem at all. Porting number takes a little time but buying an eSIM makes the change instant!
15 Jun 2024 11:28 AM
@Joewakastan Will your number port over quickly or will it be stuck in Sky's system until they sort their mess out? Also, how does the esim work? I have seen them offered but never tried one. Good luck with the move!
15 Jun 2024 12:56 PM
It's called a partial port, most occasions they resolve it ,if the phone is android and it says" phone unknown" in the "About phone" section of settings that will be the problem in most cases.
15 Jun 2024 12:59 PM
The about phone has correct details. It shows as ported over and complete but lots of issues.
I've moved to EE today

@LeedsRhinos2023 Hope all gets sorted quickly for you. Am going to change service provider this weekend, can't carry on without any data/airtime any longer. Sky mobile = absolute joke.
