IPhone 14

My daughters new iPhone 14 switched itself off. When she went to switch it back on only half a screen appeared. It then went dead again and won't switch back on.

Ouch.

In that case you are entitled to return it.  Don't fall for the trap of them insisting you purchase another phone!
