Why Sky Go reduced the number of derives from 6 to 4 without telling customers

Why Sky Go reduced the number of derives from 6 to 4 without telling customers on Sky Go,

I can remove the devices as the sky page says oops!0 we have  a problem.

I ring sky customer care, they cant remove the devices, I cant remove the devices, i created a Sky CRF case in september and its now december and not fixed

service stopped on 3rd Sept, I have Q and There is no movement on this I have spoken to 20 customer service agents in 4 months and keep getting passes around and not fixed

Live TV error code 1413 (1413-IH) and boxed sets 1313 (1313-IH)

Skys own reps do not know what this issue is

Customer care complaints team - lied to me-- recorded on call that If I updated to Q this would all be resolved - Great company

You can register up to six compatible devices to use the Sky Go app, including games consoles.

Sky Go and Sky Go Extra customers can stream on two devices at a time.

Sky Q Multiscreen and Sky Glass/Sky Stream Whole Home customers can stream on four devices at a time – up to three using Sky Go and one using either the Sky Sports app or website.

Same issue, been broken since early October.  Despite repeated phone calls and emails they just keep telling me to phone customer services, who do absolutely nothing and when attempts have been made by Sky to delete devices they get no further than I do.

They hacve sort-of suggested the issue is being worked on but I have seen absolutely zero progress.

Another sky employee in hiding citing the website and closing discussion with a non relevant answer

We are all just stuck, sure we could cancel Sky but that feels a little "cutting off your nose to spite your face".

I'll keep pushing them on this, the number of people who are having this problem is growing and as you rightly say, the service you receive via phone, online chat and email is appalling.  They just keep saying the same thing and fobbing the customer off.

I think all we can do is just keep pestering them about this problem.

Re: Why Sky Go reduced the number of derives from 6 to 4 without telling customers

SkyGo is next to useless. We get the error code 1414-IH now. It co-incides with the fact that on MySky, manage mydevices, I cannot remove devices, it is impossible to rename them and likewise my password. Why? This suggests that it is not so much the app, but Sky's database / server.

That it has not been fixed for some time is, being diplomatic, most regretable.

Anyone with an answer, please post here!!

@Slcmpc

For a 1414 error are you in the UK and if so have you returned from abroad. Also are you using a VPN ?

Re: Why Sky Go reduced the number of derives from 6 to 4 without telling customers

We are in the UK. Never used a VPN, tried uninstalling and then reinstalling etc. The problem must be at Sky's end. Why can I not rename or remove SkyGo devices?

Re: Why Sky Go reduced the number of derives from 6 to 4 without telling customers

I have this problem - well, the error code is 1513-IH

I have 6 devices registered to my sky go - long story short, I only need 3, but the website will not let me delete them. That's this link:
https://www.sky.com/productsettings/tv

Looking at the javascript console in chrome, it returns a 500 error, suggesting a fault at their end. Hit a complete blank on customer services.

Will keep trying.

Error code is 15 because I'm attempting a download (I should have added)

Re: Why Sky Go reduced the number of derives from 6 to 4 without telling customers

Spent hours on the phone today. No avail. I did get a confession that SkyGo needs update. No timescale. However, on Sky.com I still cannot remove or rename my devices. That to me is a permission issue which is what the Sky Go app issues appear to be. Different error codes depending upon whether I want sport or cinema. I can watch downloaded items on box. I know Sky have recently changed their packages. Wonder if that is the issue?

Re: Why Sky Go reduced the number of derives from 6 to 4 without telling customers

When I click the button to remove a device, I see an error code in the browser inspector, i.e. the website is broken.
