@crispy74 let me check in the closed superuser section and i'll get back to you as im on the newest Sky Q version and the most recent Sky go version and can still remote record I know its not available for Glass and stream customer but they add to a play list rather than recording

Hi @crispy74   

 

I have just tried this, iPhone 15 Pro 18.4.1 and Sky Go 25.1.1 and Sky Q 32B2xx Q310.

 

Note, important, make sure that you connect to the Sky Q box at home first to establish the connection.

 

So I rebooted my iPhone and turned off WiFi so using 4G. Opened the Sky Go App and selected TV Guide, "Record to Sky Box" and selected two future programmes, one Record once, other Record series. Now looking on the Sky Q box Scheduled Recording and they are both set to Record.

 

Interesting that having cancelled the scheduled recordings on the box, they both still show as to be recorded in Sky Go TV Guide.

Can you stream subscription channels outside of the home?

Yes I can. Just played a sky movies film whilst on 5G

I've got this problem too. Cannot use Sky Go to set up a recording when not WiFi connected to Sky Q box.
Did anyone find a solution please?

So is it some but not all customers that are not getting this (paid for!) service?

I use Starlink. I wonder if that might be reason (?)

I'm having the same problem with recording away from my home it will record from my phone when i'm in front of the TV but when I'm away from home it registers as though it's going to record , but when i return home nothing has recorded. Looking at your last message , is that the end of the issue and more or less Sky are just saying , hard luck , keep paying for something you don't receive

Not sure. I didn't get any responses. But your situation sound identical. On WiFi at home I can remote record. Away from home, on mobile data the "request" sent from the app doesn't do anything. 

I spent 30 minutes on phone with Sky yesterday evening. No resolution but it has been "escalated" and I shall/may be called back in next two or three days. 

Would be great to know if others have this ongoing problem. Or how to fix it.
