No one could help me I ended up doing this myself going in to a old sky + app to activate my remote recording via sky go. Sky still have me linked to a sky hd box even though I have sky q . I am sick

I was told i would so I would never have this issue again . Having to use the old sky + to activate my account for remote recording.

Does the old.sky+ app interfer with sky go and my sky ? If so how do I stop it ?

What do you mean by interfer, you can remote record from either Sky Go or the Sky+ app if you want.

Using sky go to record when outside as account shows I have a sky hd box not Sky q so had to access old sky + app to fix this

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt is the viewing card and it's number that is important so if the viewing card number is correct for the one you have in your Sky Q box then you should be able to set a recording no matter if it wrongly says you have a Sky+ box.

The fact is it didn't I had to activate remote recordings though the old sky + app as my box is showing as a sky hd on my account. Even though I have sky q all settings on my sky app are linked to sky hd box not sky q.
Sky just say they can't change it

Iam fed up my sky account thinks I have a sky hd box not sky q all settings are for a sky hd and account shows i have sky hd multi room and sky q mini how would that work?? They are telling me they can't correct this. This was a error made when sky engineer in stalled sky q
