I got sky q in 2 weeks ago I have never been able to use sky go to remotely record as sky have not taken off my old Sky hd box off my account so every time I try the signal goes to old sky box . 9 hours on the phone and still no help! It's so frustrating as months ago they took this box off my account so could not use sky hd box without telling me . I upgrade to sky q and they add it back on again so is causing issues. I am fed up!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt is the viewing card and it's number that is important so if the viewing card number is correct for the one you have in your Sky Q box then you should be able to set a recording no matter if it wrongly says you have a Sky+ box.

So many teams are dealing with this and still nothing no help. All I want is old sky hd box removed and sky q on correctly

You need to watch out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.

I am still waiting for this to be resolved . They have left my old Sky hd box on my account as my main box so causing issues !!!

I've had Sky Q since 2016 but my equipment is still showing as this
and my remote record works as it should

Mine is not the remote recording via phone when outside the house. And settings on app all linked to old box and old viewing card number

I have issues with my account having wrong viewing card number on account . Not being able to use sky go to remotely record. Spent hours on the phone to agents . In the end went on old sky + app and activated remote recording when outside via sky go . Even though I have sky q. If you ever need a sky q replacement viewing card is it the same number?
My account still wrong been nearly 3 weeks !
