Sky Go macOS app does not open after latest update.

It is a joke, it is not cheap and now I am unable to use when travelling or out of my home. might be time to move to Virgin Media as there app works

I have a FIX that worked for me - MacBook Pro - M3, Sonoma 14.5

1. Once app is installed - force quit.
2. Open Finder
3. Search for "Sky Go" - for me it was installed in Applications for the logged in user by itself
4. I click and dragged Sky Go into Applications so it appeared in the main application list
5. Launch the app out of the main application list
6. Turn off any external monitors / screen mirroring etc. - I have a docking station using DisplayLink

This last step (6) finally revealed the Sky Go window - I could choose a programme and start playing video.  

As soon as I try and reconnect my external displays (via DisplayLink software) - the SkyGo video screen goes grey.

HOWEVER, if I link one of my displays directly using a HDMI cable from the MacBook itself (not via the USB-C dock connector) - I can watch video on a second screen.

Unfortunately I have an i9 MacBook Pro that I mainly use like a desktop with an external screen, so can only use the USB-C HDMI adaptor.

I am unable to install sky go app on Mac. Used to work and now hasn't for about a year

Never had a problem running the Sky Go app on my M2 Macbook Air. 

Installed the latest software update from Apple last night and Sky Go now crashes on launch.

Tried that on my macbook pro M1 using sonoma and still the same thing

Yep.... so many exciting moments where there is a plan to follow.... but again this fails too.

Same here with MacBook Air M1 2020. Tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling. Same result.

I expect this is something to do with integration with Rosetta?  The App (Get Info) says it is Intel design, so on my M3 Pro Mac it has to run with Rosetta.... the error log show mixture of Rosetta (x86) and Arm errors..... sounds like we need a proper Arm version of this app...

Sky - please can you sort this out, Especially with the Oympics on. I'm wanting to watch Eurosport on the go.

Installed software up-date for MaOS Sonoma 14.6 and immediately cannot open Sky go.  Please rectify ASAP.
