Sky go app keeps closing and crashing on chromebook chrome OS issue or sky go app issue?

@Chloe-W22 looks like everyone's chromebook is the same and not working. It's seems clear that sky have purposely deceived their customers with lies about a supposed update and how its work on some and not others. Was there ever an update to fix the chromebook issue? I don't think there was. The survey is just a waste of time. Time to cancel sky I think people. Maybe they will listen then...

Well I've had an update on Sky Go and now I'm on version 22.3.1 but it hasn't made any difference.

I tried to access the survey again to update my changes, but you can't once you have submitted it.

Still no update showing, even checked on Play Store - no updates available. Not sure what Sky is really doing about this.

This has been going on too long and, with no prospect of it resolving, I'm cancelling my Sky subscription    Have Sky broken their contract with me? 

How do I cancel?

Ive been watching sky go on chromebook until the latest bug which sky say will be fixed in April however when I go into my apps sky go has disappeared if I try to install it there is a message saying already installed and I cant uninstall it to try again - any help please

Why do some people seem to find the updated app and not others?

@nicky15 they are not finding the March update, they are finding the February update that you may have automatically updated. The March update to rectify the fault the idiots at Sky did. not make Chrome compatible hence it does not show up on your device. If you visit Play Store on a Web browser you can see it (but you can't have it).

Firstly, thank you for your patience and feedback regarding the issues seen with some Chromebooks recently.

The fix that was released last week was a change that was made on our back-end servers. There is no need to update your app or wait for new releases if you have Sky Go version 22.2 or above on your Chromebooks as it will be picked up automatically. Our development teams are working hard to remedy the issues seen on Chromebooks that are still seeing problems, and we will keep you updated on any further developments as they are available.

Please identify the Chromebooks that work with the Sky Go app.  It seems that posts suggest numerous Chromebooks still have the same problem - including my HP Chromebook which has version 22.4 of the app.

@Mabrook I look forward to seeing the answer you get but I want to see a Dodo and that ain't gonna happen either.

What I want to know,  if this mythical update was "back end" why does it show up on play store when using a web browser on Chrome yet its greyed out and not downloadable.

@Mabrook don't think anyone has got their chromebook working. Sky never done anything like promised and no fix was released.

They've not done what they said they would, can't say I'm surprised! They're either not telling us the truth or have the worst IT / technical department
