The Sky app it totally rubbish! It should be taken down. It's ridiculous to have customers to have to go hunt for the BBC channel.
And the user interface is atrocious!! The text so minute and I'm sure is not a great experience for those who are elderly or visually impaired. I have trouble even with good eyesight. Bring back the old Sky+ app at least it was easier on the eyes and you could select favourites. Why ruin a good app in favour for one that's so bad!!

Itv1, Channel 4 and channel 5 (103, 104 and 105) in the Sky app are all SD and not HD!

@BMBowden this has nothing to do with the BBC channels

Because Sky+ ceased to be the current platform in 2016?

Sorry, I am confused. What 'isn't so'?
If you select 'Record to Sky Box' then all HD channels are where I expect them to be assuming you are on the same WiFi network.
This doesn't work if your device is on a different WiFi network, or is on Cellular.
This is assuming I am interpreting you statement correctly but the statement wasn't very clear.

Okay, you got me there and apologies for not being clearer.
Yes they are there, hadn't realised I'd been searching from the 'watch on phone' tab! 🙄
Must say though I preferred the old Sky+ app particularly the grid search.

I recently downloaded SKYGo to my Samsung Tablet and the BBC channels are not available (still)

Correct, the BBC channels won't show when the Sky Go app isn't connected to your Sky Q box. The BBC won't allow this and want users to use the live streams on BBC IPlayer instead.

And for Glass/Stream subscribers, BBC channels never appear in Sky Go.

They do appear in Sky Go if you select the Record to Sky Box tab at the top.
