No, I'm still having the same problems that the OP mentioned. BBC channels have the 'programmes no longer available ' message.
I saw that other people's problems had been resolved so I just assumed that it would get fixed eventually, as I said I've cleared everything down multiple times.

That sounds like it could be the SD channels so have you looked at channels 801 and 802 to see if these are the BBC ones ?

Yep, all the channels are there from 801.
If I select HD channels from the drop down list at the top the first channel I see is 119 ITV3 HD, but every other one is there from 801 onwards.
I've not got the HD package BTW, but the answer from @Chloe-W22 said that it wasn't required.
It's not the biggest problem in the world, just a bit of a faff

I don't either still & have been going round in circles with Sky Technicians by telephone & email.....As you say workable but very frustrating.......should be simple.

I don't think anything is going to happen until the SD version of the channels is removed from Sky completely. Maybe just post something on this thread once a week to keep it going

Not sure where we're all at with this, but the current position is that no BBC channels are available through the Sky Go app. According to Sky's Customer Service team, this is because the BBC has changed its policy and is restricting viewing options for its channels. However, I've found that if you still have the Sky+ app, the recording of BBC channels to your Sky box is still possible.

Correct - when using Sky Go outside your home (I.e so it isn't connected to your Sky box) you cannot stream BBC channels through Sky Go as the BBC want the live streams to be viewed via IPlayer.

The problem isn't with streaming channels, BBC or otherwise.
The problem is that the 'Record to Sky Box' tab only shows the SD version of various channels if both exist. In the case of the BBC channels these no longer show programme listings.

Mmm...not sure I'm following this. I can access through Sky Go both SD and HD channels for other stations, and I have successfully recorded, through the Sky Go app, the HD channel I've selected - in HD.

Ps...for the avoidance of doubt, when I say "successfully recorded" I meant to my Sky Q box, not my phone

@MazzaLatic The record tab shows both HD and SD varients of channels it also has the BBC HD channels in their usual positions of 101 and 102 see my screenshot from my phone app there are some channels where the SD channel varient is shown in the lower channel position such as ITV1 channel 4 and 5 but you can find thed HD varient in the 800's so 803 804 and 805 are ITV HD Channel 4 HD and Channel 5 HD

That's very interesting Laing1, because my TV Guide in Sky Go does not show channels 101 and 102. The listing starts at ITV 103.
Neither does the TV Guide show channels 952 onwards, which is where all regional BBC HD channels can be found. My list stops at 898.
Whereas, if I go back to my old Sky+ app, all those channels are there.
I shall need to speak with Sky again on Monday because clearly they've told me a load of porky pies. (If you're not from the UK, that's cockney for "lies").

Have you got "Record to Sky box" selected at the top of it ?

@Mart55 You cannot watch the BBC channels live when away from home in my screenshot you will see I have selected the record to box option which does allow you to record the BBC channels
This is a common confusion that you can record the BBC channels but not watch them live.
You need to make sure you switch from Watch on phone at the top of the TV Guide to Record to Sky Box

Ah, bingo. Thank you so much Laing1 and caeserome. It has all fallen into place now, and I can see where MazzaLatic is coming from. So I wasn't told porky pies by Sky after all, though perhaps they just didn't tell me as much as they could have.
