Hi @Chloe-W22
This isn't working for me, please see my screenshots from this morning.
On our SkyQ box TV guide, BBC One Wales HD is showing correctly on ch 101 as is BBC Two Wales HD showing correctly on ch 102.
However, on our SkyGo APPs, it's isn't, ch 101 (BBC One) and ch 102 (BBC Two) continue to say "...programmes no longer available" - even though it's correct on our SkyQ box and BBC channels are free to air.
Has this anything to do with me experiencing the Sky's Welsh postcode problem?
Thanks.

I spoke to a technician at Sky & they are looking into it for me - it should be changed regardless of whether you have a HD sub or not.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI originally had the same issue so I fixed it by going to the homepage on the app then back into the TV Guide as it then reloaded it for me. You could also try a reboot of the device the app is installed on.

Ok so on Sky Go "Record to Sky Box" BBC1+2 HD are now at last on channel 101+102 just like on my Sky Q box.
However the HD's for ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5 have been moved to 803, 804, 805,
and 103, 104, 105 are now just in SD.
And the only way to get from 103 to 803 is to scroll and that's a long way down.
Ok a little shorter if you only select HD from the "All Channels" menu.
Please Sky, can you just mirror the Sky Q channels in the Sky Go App.
You know it makes sense. There is a reason the BBC don't broadcast is SD anymore.
Thank you

Hi @caesarome,
As you suggest, I've tried the usual (reboot/reload/re-install etc), but the problem still exists on my iPhone, iPad and Windows PC, 101 (BBC One) and ch 102 (BBC Two) continue to say "...programmes no longer available" - so this does point to a continued issue for some Sky customers
As did the postcode issue, but Sky took many months even to acknowledge the problem existed and even more months to fix it for the Welsh customers - but not for those in other parts of the UK.

Posted by a Sky employeeHi everyone,
Thanks for the feedback on my last post, I double-checked with the team and they've confirmed you are correct, you do not require a HD subscription to view these channels on Sky Go. Sorry for the confusion!
@JamSpring there also isn't a widespread issue with customers in Wales viewing these channels. Make sure you are signing into the Sky Go account that is linked to your TV account so it can register your active subscription. You can tell if your account is linked as you'll be able to see your bills and Sky packages online. Let me know if you need any more help with this?

Hi @Chloe-W22
I can comfirm I am signing into my Sky Go account that is linked to my TV account - I've been a Sky customer for over 20 years and also a SkyGo Extra user for many years. I've also logged out and re-logged back into SkyGo and the problem remains.
Where you say; "there also isn't a widespread issue with customers in Wales viewing these channels." - neither was the postcode issue for those in Wales, as for whatever reason the problem was isolated to some postcodes in Wales, not all postcodes.
Thanks

Hi,
This is still a problem for me. I've cleared the storage and cache and uninstalled the app multiple times, but I still don't have BBC channels.
As a side note, could the app have an option to open on the Record to Sky Box tab please? It's the feature I use the most.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAre you trying to watch the BBC channels live (in that case it needs to be connected to a Sky Q bix and you need a multiscreen sub) or are you trying to set a recording to a BBC channel from the TV Guide ?
08 Feb 2024 07:35 PM
Most of the time I just use it as a TV guide when somebody else is watching a programme on the Sky box. Occasionally I set a recording from there but it always records the SD version, which isn't a massive problem apart from sometimes double recording both the SD and HD versions.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreNow the BBC have closed down their SD channels you should be able to set a recording to their HD channels instead so have you made sire the option to record to your sky box is selected at the top of the TV Guide as the first channel that should appear in the list is BBC 1 HD at 101 so do you not see this ?
