Must admit since the new QS16 update ITVX has worked a treat, there is a smooth transition between ads and show, @slaters have you tried refreshing the Apps?

Unless I'm misunderstanding the way things work, why are people calling/complaining about Sky when it comes to third-party apps? If ITV X is having problems, isn't that on ITV's side (or whoever they use to develop the app for them) to make sure it works on all the platforms they support?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreTechnincally they are not "apps" on stream / glass - they are browser based platforms almost unique to the sky platforms
there are a few recent posts on here with the tech details if it interests you ......

@mrwwt You are correct to a certain extent 👍.
Most of the time the 3rd party app will work perfectly well on other platforms (laptop, smart TV, Apple TV etc) so the problem lies in the integration of the app with the sky system. This may well be a fault that needs a resolution by the app provider or the problem could be with Sky. Either way both Sky and the app provider need to liaise to get the integration problem resolved. 😀

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWow, an early birthday present. The QS016 update downloaded last night so now I have the fun of seeing what has improved and keeping fingers crossed that it hasn't introduced any new issues 🤞
The "manage All" feature in playlists looks interesting. The only other thing I have noticed so far, unless it's may imagination, is the picture looks a bit sharper but brighter so I will have to dim it down a little.

My picture also appears sharper after new update.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@tavare149 That's good, at least it's not my imagination. I have had a run through the Manage All function in my Playlist and have found it picked up numerous programmes that had been in my playlist but had been deleted ages ago. Anyway they are now deleted again thanks to the new function.
Perhaps we can look forward to a similar function for the Continue Watching rail in a forthcoming update 🤞🤣

What content looks sharper and brighter to you? There's been absolutely no difference to my eye.
There can often be a placebo effect with software updates - oh it's new so something must be different!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@SlenderRobert I noticed the picture seemed brighter when I turned on my Glass TV this morning. I later though the picture seemed sharper and that's when I checked the settings to see if I had been updated. This was all watching live TV (BBC/ITV).
I am currently watching Blue Bloods (Sky Witness) from my playlist and again it appears brighter. I'm not sure whether a better description should the "whiter" rather than brighter. It is something I have encountered with UHD programmes.

Ah, apologies, I thought you were talking about Stream. I don't have a Glass TV, but there's every possibility they've been tweaking the image settings for it so you may well be correct.
