Top speaker sound
‎05 Mar 2025 10:36 AM
Can anyone please put their ear to the top of the Sky Glass 2 speaker on one of the main channels and tell me if you are meant to hear any sort of muffled or slightly squeaky dialogue or distorted sounds (the same dialogue as you can hear through the main front speakers clearly but not as clear) and a bit nasally is the only way I can describe it. I'm trying to work out if this is just some of the sound that's naturally only coming out of the front speakers that I can hear from the top. (as the content I'm referring to is NOT Dolby Atmos) Also it's important to mention, the sound isn't audible unless I put my ear to the top speaker so I don't think it's a fault. When watching Dolby Atmos or Dolby Vision content, however and I put my ear to the top speaker, I don't hear the same sounds, so what I am assuming is that because Dolby Atmos/Vision is mastered that way, the top speaker will be as silent as possible so that it's reserved only for when it needs to kick into action, if that makes sense? Whereas if I was hearing distorted sounds from the top speaker with all content, I'd be thinking more in the way that something is wrong. Any help is appreciated with this matter, which I may be overthinking.
