Yes getting some resolve would be great but until they sort this out it will remain a problem
after all we are paying a high cost for the Sky and we need it sorted ASAP

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @david+john A few weeks ago I was having an issue with lip sync mainly on the evening BBC1 news bulletins. Thankfully this has stopped now but when it was happening I found that to get the sound and picture back in sync the following worked. Try flipping to another channel and back again to the original one OR rewinding for a couple of seconds and then pressing the back button to get back to live TV.
You could also check your audio settings. Generally setting them to either PCM or passthrough helps the lip sync issues.

Never mind all these pause and change chanel, if something like this was happening to your say £30k merc would you accept the solution as just switch off and back on? Sky just get it F******* fixed please it's gettin worse! Rant over! Merry Xmas!

To those stating that pause or changing channel is the solution,..... No it isn't.
Because 15-20 minutes later it's doing it's out of sync again.
Its not the Glass TV or Puck at fault because Netflix, Paramount, Discovery+, YouTube work absolutely flawlessly every single time. Its the same repeat offenders every single time.
As I've said, for myself this wasn't an issue up until about 6-8 weeks ago, something has changed whether it be firmware or broadcast.
All we want is for Sky to fix the issue, I've formally requested for leave to exit my contract, I've collated my evidence both in recordings of footage and extensive printouts of others on the forum experiencing the same issues.
I will be leaving my contact even if I have to drag Sky kicking and screaming to their regulator or court, because fundamentally the product is not fit for purpose, and in my opinion pausing or changing channel is not a solution, it's a shoddy workaround and excuse.

Totally agree Sky Has to fix the problem
now

As a temporary solution I find flicking up or down a channel, then straight back resets the sync, for a while, at least.
But as others have said this is awful service from Sky, for customers who pay them well over £1k/year.

Agree entirely with all the posts about this immensely frustrating issue, especially the ones pointing out that a short-term fix (which sounds like a "ctl+alt+del" type solution) simply isn't good enough - you'd return any PC that needed a soft reboot every 30 minutes or so. It's also not the only issue affecting Sky Glass, which looks more and more like a product that was rushed out before all the bugs were ironed out,
Why isn't Sky fixing this? How can they even think of saying "Believe in Better" when issues like this go unaddressed?

Yes Billy we need to take them to task over this issue
we need a proper investigation And a solution now

Yes been happening about a month for me changing channels does work for a while but then out of sync again. This shouldn't be happening for such an expensive outlay.
Along with the other glitches most recent one when watching a program that I've restarted from beginning it stops halfway through and can't get it back

Hi. Have you called Sky and ask to be put through to a more technical group? Because the front of house team are hopeless they just read if a script
27 Dec 2024 09:20 PM
How do I sort it
27 Dec 2024 09:35 PM
Yeah mine is doing it mostly on itv

Does anybody know if we have right to send the tv back? I am done with this sh*t now. I don't want this tv anymore. I'm not paying for a tele that doesn't work as it should. I will go and buy a 65 inch in the January sales.

No please hold on and phone sky and ask to take this complaint to a higher level don't take oh we can't do that YOU CAN THE MORE WE DEMAND THIS SHOULD PUT PRESSURE ON
